Terms and Conditions – Ghost Festival

The following terms and conditions apply to all persons who purchase tickets or gift cards for the Ghost Festival. Please read them carefully.

1.0 Terms of Sale

1.1 Tickets sold by Ghost Festival are subject to the following terms and conditions:

1.2 All ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be provided for inadvertently booking the wrong session, and tickets can only be exchanged up to 7 days prior to the event. Refunds will not be given for cancellations or terminations due to adverse weather conditions, venue decisions, or other occurrences outside of Ghost Festival’s direct control, including mechanical breakdowns.

1.3 Ghost Experiences: The Ghost Festival offers a range of experiences, including immersive haunted tours, live performances, food and drink experiences, and access to themed installations. Ticket holders must comply with all specific terms related to these experiences as outlined on the Ghost Festival website.

1.4 Gift Cards can be redeemed until the end of the Ghost Festival 2024 season. Any remaining balance after the final day of the event (31st October 2024) will be forfeited.

2.0 Cancellation Policy

2.1 Cancellations Due to Adverse Weather: The Ghost Festival is an outdoor event and may occasionally be affected by adverse weather. We strive to proceed with the event where possible and will not cancel for light rain or intermittent showers. Attendees are advised to wear appropriate clothing. The event will only be cancelled if weather poses a safety threat to patrons and staff. The decision to cancel will be made by the Venue Manager, and cancellations can occur at any time, including during the event, due to unpredictable weather.

2.2 Refunds will not be provided for adverse weather-related cancellations. In the event of such a cancellation, tickets will automatically convert to vouchers redeemable for the same ticket type for a future session of the Ghost Festival. Retain your original tickets to reuse them on another date.

2.3 If the event is cancelled or terminated due to decisions by the host venue or other factors outside of Ghost Festival’s control, vouchers for future sessions will be issued. Entry is subject to capacity, and admission is not guaranteed.

2.4 Mechanical Breakdowns: If a session is cancelled due to a mechanical issue, Ghost Festival will refund the face value of the ticket or issue vouchers for a future session.

2.5 Damaged or defaced tickets may be refused entry. Ghost Festival reserves the right to charge for replacement tickets.

2.6 Late arrivals after 8:00pm or after the event has started may result in non-admittance.

3.0 Experiences

3.1 House of horror: House of horror is an immersive room, and themed environments. Participants are responsible for their own safety and must follow all instructions from event staff. Ghost Festival is not responsible for personal discomfort, including fear or anxiety resulting from participation in the experience. Participants who fail to adhere to safety guidelines may be removed without refund.

3.2 Zombie Silent Disco Party by POLIAKOV & Reborn with Ice, Ice Bath Experience: Ghost Festival offers live entertainment, including music with headsets for the Silent Disco Party. Additionally, the festival features an optional ice bath experience, where participants can immerse themselves in an ice bath for a limited duration. Tickets may be limited for certain shows and activities, and entry is based on session availability. Participants agree to behave respectfully and responsibly during performances and activities. For the ice bath, participants are required to follow all safety instructions, and participation is at their own risk. Participating in ice bath sessions of the POLIAKOV experience at the Zombie Silent Disco Party by POLIAKOV Vodka or the “Reborn with Ice” experience carries inherent risks. Ice baths may not be suitable for everyone, and individuals should consult a healthcare professional before participating, particularly if they have any of the following conditions:

  • Cardiovascular or heart conditions
  • Respiratory issues such as asthma
  • Hypertension or low blood pressure
  • Circulatory problems, such as Raynaud’s disease
  • Neuropathy or reduced sensitivity to cold
  • Recent surgeries or injuries
  • Diabetes
  • Pregnant or nursing women
  • Known sensitivities to extreme temperatures

Participants should avoid alcohol or other substances that may impair judgment before or during the ice bath session. By participating, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk and agree to release event organisers from any liability.

3.3 Food and Drink: The Ghost Festival provides themed food and drink options, including pop-up stalls and immersive food experiences. Attendees are prohibited from bringing outside food or beverages into the festival grounds unless pre-approved for medical reasons. Attendees must follow all event regulations regarding alcohol consumption.

3.4 The Murder Bar Experience: The Ghost Festival offers an exclusive Murder Bar experience, where guests can enjoy themed cocktails and an immersive atmosphere inspired by horror and mystery. Participants must be 18 years or older to enter and consume alcohol. Responsible drinking is required, and festival staff reserve the right to refuse service to anyone intoxicated or behaving inappropriately. Attendees agree to follow all venue rules and regulations. Outside food or beverages are not permitted, and participants are encouraged to drink responsibly.

3.5 Ghost Cinema Experience: The Ghost Festival includes the Ghost Cinema, offering spine-chilling movie screenings in a haunted setting. Entry is ticketed and subject to session availability. Participants are expected to behave respectfully during screenings and refrain from disruptive behavior. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Attendees should note that some films may contain intense or frightening scenes, and viewer discretion is advised. The festival is not liable for any distress caused by the content of the films. If attendees arrive more than 30 minutes late, entry may be refused, and tickets will not be refunded.

3.6 The Halloween Parade Experience: The Ghost Festival features the Halloween Parade, a lively and immersive procession showcasing costumes, performances, and spooky entertainment. Participants are encouraged to arrive on time and dress in Halloween-themed costumes. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Attendees are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly throughout the event.

3.7 Themed Installations: The Ghost Festival features a range of themed installations, including interactive displays and photo opportunities. Participants are responsible for treating installations with care and respect. Damage to installations or any venue property may result in removal from the event and liability for damages.

4.0 Privacy and Access

4.1 Personal information collected from the use of this website will be handled in accordance with Ghost Festival’s privacy policy.

4.2 Ghost Festival reserves the right to refuse access to the website or specific festival experiences at any time at its discretion.

5.0 Event Safety

5.1 Patrons must adhere to all event safety guidelines and follow instructions from staff for their own safety and the safety of others.

5.2 Certain experiences, including The house of horror and live performances, may feature strobe lighting, loud noises, and other effects that may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions. Attendees participate at their own risk.

6.0 Covid-19 Safety

6.1 Ghost Festival attendees must comply with NSW health and safety guidelines regarding Covid-19, including respecting social distancing rules between groups.

6.2 Attendees are required to follow instructions from staff and Covid Safety Marshals.

6.3 Failure to comply with NSW health and safety regulations may result in removal from the premises without refund.

7.0 Variation

7.1 Ghost Festival reserves the right to vary the terms of sale and experience conditions at any time. Variations become effective upon posting on the website. By making a purchase after terms have been varied, you agree to be bound by the changes.


Conditions of Entry – Ghost Festival

Upon purchasing a ticket, the purchaser agrees to the following:

  • No outside food or alcohol is permitted on the premises.
  • No glass bottles are allowed.
  • Entry is not guaranteed without a specific session booking.
  • Patrons must respect NSW Covid-19 safety guidelines.
  • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited, and any patron found with them will be reported to authorities.
  • Patrons may not damage any property or installations at the venue.
  • Open flames are not allowed on the premises.
  • Ghost Festival reserves the right to remove anyone causing a disturbance or found intoxicated. No refund will be given in such cases.
  • Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited at the event.
