GHOST FESTIVAL SEASON 2025 TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms & conditions are for Ghost Festival, located at The Rocks in Sydney, operating from Friday, 31 October 2025 to Sunday, 2 November 2025.

1.    INTRODUCTION

Ghost in The Rocks (Ghost Festival, event, we, us and our) is a live eve nt owned by BBR Group (ABN 93 121 083 805). 

By purchasing a ticket to Ghost Festival You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below (Terms of Sale). The Terms of Sale relate to the sale of tickets and attendance at the event to which the ticket relates (Event). These Terms of Sale apply to the purchaser and any subsequent ticketholders (You or Your). 

In addition to the Terms of Sale, you may also be bound by Event Specific Terms. You are also subject to the Venue Terms and Conditions as well as any Authorised Ticketing Agent’s Terms and Conditions. Where there is inconsistency between terms the following order of enforceability applies: 

  1. Venue Terms and Conditions. 
  1. Event Specific Terms. 
  1. Ghost Festival in The Rocks Terms of Sale.  
  1. Authorised Ticketing Agent Terms and Conditions. 
  1. Promotion Giveaways Terms and Conditions. 

Ghost Festival reserves the right to cancel any ticket used in breach of any of the above terms. 

2.    PURCHASE OF TICKETS AND GIFT CARDS

Tickets to Ghost in The Rocks are available through the official Ghost Festival website www.ghostfestival.com.au and authorised ticketing agents (Authorised Ticketing Agents). You are warned not to buy tickets from unauthorised operators. We are aware tickets to Ghost in The Rocks may be sold through unauthorised operators at excessively inflated prices. If You buy tickets from unauthorised operators, you do so at Your own risk and neither us nor the Authorised Ticketing Agent will be able to assist You.  

Ghost in The Rocks cannot guarantee any ticket purchase made through any means other than the official Ghost in The Rocks website (for example via websites such as eBay, Gumtree and social media Buy Swap Sell pages). 

GST will apply to all goods and services supplied through this site. 

3.    USE OF GIFT CARDS

Gift Cards can be redeemed until the season end of Ghost Festival in The Rocks, Sydney on November 2, 2025. Any amount left on the gift card after the last ticketed experience of the season on November 2, 2025, is forfeited. 

4.    USE OF TICKETS AND GIFT CARDS

The promotion, advertising, offering or selling of tickets to Ghost in The Rocks is strictly prohibited by anyone other than Authorised Ticketing Agents, unless: 

  1. with BBR Agency’s prior written consent; or 
  1. where expressly permitted under relevant State or Federal trading laws. 

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of BBR Agency, be used for advertising, promotion or for any other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. In addition to any other legal rights and remedies that Ghost in The Rocks have in this regard, BBR Agency reserves the right to immediately cancel, without notice or compensation to You, any tickets sold or used in breach of this condition. 

Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way or are not purchased from one of Ghost in The Rocks’ authorised points of sale. 

5.    EVENT SPECIFIC TERMS

Ghost in The Rocks has the right to include additional specific conditions in relation to particular Events (Event Specific Terms). Such Event Specific Terms will be made available on Ghost in The Rockswebsite and/or on the Authorised Ticketing Agent’s website and will be deemed to be incorporated into these Terms of Sale. 

6.    EVENT CHANGES

Ghost in The Rocks has the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute advertised movies and/or vary advertised programs, times, prices, venues, seating arrangements, staging and audience capacity without notice to You.  

7.    REDUCED CAPACITY OR VARIED CONFIGURATION OF EVENTS DUE TO INTERVENING CIRCUMSTANCES

If there are Intervening Circumstances which require the Ghost in The Rocks capacity to be reduced or the configuration to be varied, then that process will be determined by BBR Group in its absolute discretion. If Your transaction is identified for cancellation (i.e. due to venue capacity restrictions) then you will be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.   

Intervening Circumstances means an incident that is beyond Ghost in The Rocks’ control which occurs after the time when a Ticket is sold, such as an act of God, state of emergency (eg bushfire or flood), public health emergency (eg pandemics including COVID-19 related), travel warnings (eg travel restrictions or advice to not travel) and Government or Health Authority directives (eg forced venue closures or mass gathering restrictions). 

8.    TICKET PURCHASE LIMITS 

Ghost in The Rocks has the right to enforce published ticket purchase limits and cancel any tickets You obtain above those limits. If You exceed the ticket limit, You may have any or all of Your orders and tickets cancelled without notice. This includes orders associated with the same name, ticketing account, email address, IP address, billing address, credit card number or other information. 

9.    CANCELLED OR RESCHEDULED EVENTS

9.1 CANCELLATIONS DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER:

  1. Ghost in The Rocks is an outdoor event and is occasionally subject to adverse weather. We try to go ahead with screenings wherever possible, and do not cancel for light/intermittent/potential rain. We strongly recommend customers wear appropriate clothing before coming to the Ghost Cinema.  
  2. Screenings will be cancelled only if the weather poses a safety threat to patrons and staff. The decision to cancel a screening is made by the Venue Manager on site, and can be made at any time up to or during the screening, as weather conditions are notoriously unpredictable.  
  3. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on a screening night and acknowledge that tickets will not be re-validated unless a screening is officially cancelled by Ghost in The Rocks. 
  4. Ghost in The Rocks does not provide refunds on tickets in the event of a Cancellation due to Adverse Weather. If a session is cancelled due to adverse weather, tickets are automatically converted to a voucher redeemable for the same ticket type for a future session of Ghost in The Rocks. You must retain your original tickets (vouchers) in order to re-use them on another night. 
  5. When a session is cancelled, customers will receive an email to the email address provided when purchasing tickets online. The email will contain instructions on how to rebook for another session. Additionally, signage will be erected at the venue notifying customers of the cancellation. 
  6. In the event that, a cancellation due to adverse weather occurs in the final week of the event, and a ticket holder is unable to attend another session during that season, ticket holders are invited to contact us quoting the session and booking reference code to receive complimentary tickets for the following season.

9.1.2. CANCELLED OR TERMINATED DUE TO HOST VENUE OR OTHER OCCURRENCES OUTSIDE GHOST FESTIVAL’S DIRECT CONTROL:

Ghost in The Rocks will provide vouchers redeemable for the same ticket type for a future session during that Ghost in The Rocks season at the venue for which the original tickets were purchased. Tickets are subject to capacity and entry is not guaranteed. 

9.1.3. CANCELLED OR TERMINATED DUE TO MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN:

Ghost in The Rocks will refund the face value of each ticket upon return to Ghost in The Rocks of intact tickets to that session or will provide vouchers redeemable for the same ticket type for a future session during that Ghost in The Rocks season at the venue for which the original tickets were purchased. 

Note: Staff working at Ghost in The Rocks are not able to provide refunds. 

10.    GHOST IN THE ROCKS LIABILITY 

To avoid doubt, Ghost in The Rocks is not liable to You for any losses or expenses incurred in connection with an Event being cancelled, rescheduled, significantly relocated or changed (including, for example, travel, accommodation or other ancillary expenses), except to the extent that such losses arise from Ghost in The Rocksbreach of any Applicable Codes and Laws.

11.    REFUND OR REPLACEMENT OF TICKETS

Refunds or replacement on any ticket will only be given as set out in these Terms of Sale, or as reasonably determined by BBR Group in order to comply with the Applicable Codes and Laws. Ghost in The Rocks and/or Authorised Ticketing Agents will not replace lost, stolen or destroyed tickets unless proof of purchase is presented. Ghost in The Rocks reserves the right to charge a fee for replacement tickets. Authorised Ticketing Agents may charge a fee for the replacement of tickets. 

12.    MISTAKES IN TICKET PURCHASES

You are responsible for checking all Event information and ensuring You have purchased the right ticket for the right Event on the right date.  No refunds will be processed if You mistakenly purchase a ticket to the wrong date, wrong movie and/or series screening or seating location or make some other error in connection with Your ticket purchase.   

If you have mistakenly purchased a ticket to the wrong date, wrong movie and/or series screening or seating location or make some other error in connection with Your ticket purchase an exchange on the ticket can be processed up to 7 days prior to the event date. 

13. EVENT AGE RESTRICTIONS

All patrons aged four (4) years and older must purchase a ticket to enter the event. Ghost in The Rocks reserves the right to impose age restrictions on certain events based on movie or series classifications, venue requirements, and safety considerations. 

Attendance by children under four (4) years of age is not recommended. However, ticket holders are welcome to bring children under this age. In such cases, patrons are kindly asked to be mindful of other attendees and ensure their children do not disrupt the enjoyment of others. 

If a child becomes unsettled, parents or guardians are requested to step outside the experience area to settle the child. They are welcome to re-enter the Ghost in The Rocks premises once the child is calm, with no restrictions on re-entry. 

14.    PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING AT EVENTS

Ghost in The Rocks reserves the right to broadcast, communicate, film and/or record any Event. If You are photographed, filmed or recorded whilst attending an Event, You consent to Ghost in The Rocks (or third parties authorised by Ghost in The Rocks) photographing, filming or recording You. Third parties authorised by Ghost in The Rocks can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings or images of You without compensation or restriction including but not limited to marketing and promotional use and in all media. Ghost in The Rocks, authorised third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to You in any way for its use. 

You may not be permitted to use cameras, audio and video recorders at an Event. Ghost in The Rocks and/or the partners reserve the right to confiscate and/or delete any footage, recordings and/or photos created by unauthorised or prohibited recording, filming or photography at an Event. 

15.    EVENT ENTRY, SECURITY AND SAFETY

Ghost in The Rocks’ rights to refuse entry to an Event include but are not limited to where: 

  1. Your ticket has been handled in breach of these Terms of Sale; or 
  2. Your ticket is defaced, manipulated or damaged.

You are reminded that in addition to Ghost in The Rocks’ right to refuse entry to an Event, the Venue hosting the Event may impose additional restrictions.  

You agree to comply with security and safety requirements and directions at the Event. Prior to entry to the Event, You and/or Your belongings may be subject to specific security and safety requirements including but not limited to bag checking, metal detector tests, pat downs, explosive sweeps and/or drug detection tests.  If You do not consent to such searches, You may be denied entry to the Venue without refund. 

It is important to Ghost in The Rocks and our partners that each Event is enjoyable and safe for patrons. Anyone behaving in an offensive, disruptive or dangerous manner may be ejected from the Event in the Event personnel’s discretion.  We reserve the right to evict patrons who disobey Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation or refuse to comply with event Specific Terms or Venue Terms and Conditions. Anyone found supplying or consuming illicit drugs will be evicted from the Venue and may face criminal charges.  If You feel unsafe, distressed or harassed at an Event we encourage You to seek the assistance of Event personnel. 

16.    EVENT ATTENDANCE

Attendance at Ghost in The Rocks is subject to the terms and conditions of the event organiser. 

Ghost Cinema: For safety purposes, patrons must arrive prior to the beginning of the movie. Late arrivals (after the start of the movie) may result in non-admittance. 

17.    CONDITIONS OF ENTRY – GHOST IN THE ROCKS

By purchasing a ticket to Ghost in The Rocks, the purchaser agrees to the following:

  1. Terms and Conditions
    ○ The purchaser agrees to comply with the rules and regulations of The Rocks, Sydney precinct, Ghost in The Rocks, and the Liquor License applicable within the Ghost in The Rocks site.
    ○ The purchaser agrees to be bound by Ghost in The Rocks’ terms and conditions.

  2. Food and Beverage Policy
    ○ BYO (Bring Your Own) alcohol and hot food is not permitted.
    ○ Glass bottles are strictly prohibited within the premises.

  3. Ticketing and Entry
    ○ Entry is not guaranteed for persons without a booking for a specific session.
    ○ Complimentary Vouchers, Movie Vouchers, Gift Vouchers, and Gift Cards must be presented at the Ghost in The Rocks Box Office for admission tickets. Entry is subject to capacity, and tickets are not guaranteed.

  4. Safety and Behaviour
    ○ Patrons are required to follow the NSW Government’s COVID-19 safety guidelines.
    ○ Illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Anyone found in possession will be reported to the police.
    ○ Patrons must not damage or remove any vegetation or property within or outside the Ghost in The Rocks site.
    ○ Patrons must remain within designated areas as instructed by Ghost in The Rocks staff or agents.
    ○ Open flames of any kind are not allowed within the Ghost in The Rocks site.
    ○ Ghost in The Rocks reserves the right to eject any patron who is intoxicated or causing a disturbance. Ejected patrons will not be entitled to a refund or ticket exchange.

  5. No Smoking Policy
    ○ Smoking is not permitted within the premises.

  6. Respectful Conduct
    ○ Patrons must not abuse, threaten, or use offensive language towards Ghost in The Rocks staff or other attendees.

18.    LOSS OR INJURY AT EVENT

To the fullest extent permitted by the law and subject to Your rights under any Applicable Codes and Laws, You release Ghost in The Rocks (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury You or Your property may suffer in relation to Your attendance (before, during and after) at an Event, howsoever caused, including due to any negligence or other act or omission of Ghost in The Rocks. 

You agree to compensate Ghost in The Rocks for any damage, loss, liability or injury that Ghost in The Rocks may suffer as a result of Your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at an Event. 

19.    RISK

Entry to the Event is at Your own risk and You must: 

  1. wear appropriate footwear and clothing at all times at the Venue;  
  2. not engage in similar anti-social crowd-behaviour; 
  3. not wear offensive clothing or display political, anti-war, religious-hate and any other offensive messaging; 
  4. wear sunscreen, hats and protective clothing against the suns UV if necessary; and 
  5. determine whether Your health or the health of other attendees may be adversely impacted by Your attendance at the Event.


To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ghost in The Rocks takes no responsibility for any hearing damage or loss caused by excessive or prolonged exposure to noise and/or injury caused by Your failure to follow reasonable safety directives given by Event personnel. 
 

There remains an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases and illnesses in any public place or place where people are present. There is no guarantee, express or implied, that any person attending an Event will not be exposed to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases or illnesses. By attending the Event, You voluntarily assume any and all risks related to any exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases or illnesses that may be present including bacteria, virus or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness that may result in Your injury/death. 

Ghost in The Rocks will continue to assess the outbreak and transmission of communicable diseases, including any stipulations from Government, Health Authorities, Artists and Venues in determining necessary safety measures for each Event. By purchasing tickets to an Event, you agree to follow any Event policies in place at the time of the Event. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of vaccination, QR code check-in, social distancing, mask wearing, changes to capacity, and/or other measures. Your breach of any of the Event policies may lead to You being refused entry and/or ejected from the Event. 

In the event of injury or illness Ghost in The Rocks may, at Your cost, arrange medical treatment and/or emergency evacuation as deemed essential for Your safety. 

20.    YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION: 

Pursuant to Your booking, Ghost in The Rocks and/or Authorised Ticket Agents may need to collect and keep personal information about You including Your name, email, address, credit card or payment details, contact number and the names of all ticket allocations.  

Your contact details may be used to provide You with information and details about the Event.  

If You have consented via the Authorised Ticketing Agent to receive further information about Ghost in The Rocks events, we may also disclose Your contact details to those third parties and provide You with promotional material about other Events and products. We may also need to disclose Your personal information as required by law or as permitted under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If You have any questions about how Ghost in The Rocks will handle Your personal information please visit the link at the bottom of the Authorised Ticketing Agent’s ticketing page where You purchased Your Event ticket or refer to BBR Group’s Privacy Policy.

21.    CERTAIN ITEMS PROHIBITED

Ghost in The Rocks, and its designated representatives, including Event personnel, reserve the right to prohibit items which it believes threaten the enjoyment, rights and/or safety of You and/or other patrons at the Event.  

Unless permitted under the Venue Terms and Conditions or the Event Specific Terms, Prohibited Items include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Alcohol. 
  • Animals (with the exception of service dogs such as guide dogs or emergency service dogs). 
  • Balloons, frisbees, radios, musical instruments, laser pointers, sticks, poles, bats, clubs, etc. 
  • Beanbags, blow-up chairs or lounges. 
  • Clothing, costume, or personal effects that may impede the view of those around or behind you. 
  • Confetti or shredded paper. 
  • Drones. 
  • Flammables or missile-like objects, fireworks, sparklers, road flares, emergency flares, explosives, or other incendiary devices. 
  • Hot Food or Alcoholic beverages. 
  • Glass items. 
  • Illicit substances. 
  • Large signs, flags or banners. 
  • Lasers, flashlights, lights or battery packs. 
  • Masks (with the exception of medical masks or religious face coverings). 
  • Metal and hard plastic items including cutlery and/or drink containers. 
  • Noise-making devices such as air horns, bells, bullhorns, thunder sticks or whistles, 
  • Political signage. 
  • Professional photography equipment (eg telephoto lens; any lens over 5cm; any detachable lens; stands or other commercial equipment or anything deemed by Event personnel to be professional photography equipment). 
  • Recording devices for audio and/or visual (including GoPro, iPad and similar).  
  • Tables, tents or sun shelters. 
  • Two-way walkie talkies or radios. 
  • Umbrellas. 
  • Unauthorised solicitation materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, beach balls, give-aways, samples, or other promotional items. 
  • Weapons of any sort including tasers, mace spray or potential projectiles. 
  • Any other item deemed by Event personnel (in their discretion) to be, or potentially be, a safety hazard or annoyance to participants or guests, dangerous or offensive. 

Please also check the relevant Venue Terms and Conditions on the Venue website for venue-specific prohibited items (which vary from venue to venue). 

Any persons found to be in possession of Prohibited Items must surrender those Prohibited Items to be permitted entry to the Venue. Surrendered items will not be returned. 

22.    VARIATION TO TERMS OF SALE 

Ghost in The Rocks may vary these Terms of Sale at any time without notice to You. Any variations become effective immediately once the variation has been published on Ghost in The Rockswebsite and within the Terms & Conditions under Variation to Terms of Sale. Any variations will not operate retrospectively. 

22.1    GHOST IN THE ROCKS DOG TERMS & CONDITIONS

Customers who choose to bring their dogs to Ghost in The Rocks are fully responsible for the behaviour and actions of their dog liability for any incidents involving a customer’s dog, including but not limited to attacks on other customers, pets throughout the event. The event organisers accept no legal, or property. All legal liability rests solely with the dog owner. 

All dogs attending Ghost in The Rocks must be fully vaccinated, wormed, and in good health. Dogs must not have been unwell or exhibited symptoms of illness within 48 hours prior to attending the event. 

Owners are solely responsible for their dogs at all times. Should a dog cause any damage to property at Ghost in The Rocks, the customer may be required to cover the costs of repair or replacement. 

By attending the Ghost in The Rocks with your dog/s, customers acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. 

23.    ENFORCEABILITY

Any provision of these Terms of Sale which is or becomes unenforceable shall not invalidate the other provisions of these Terms of Sale.
